Price information, such as purchase prices, is not shared through the GS1 data pool. However Retailers in the sector do want to receive this price information in a standardized way. This can be done with an Excel smartsheet - the price message - which they use alongside the GS1 data pool. You can send this to your customer via e-mail.
We distinguish 2 versions:
- Price message 1: compact version
In addition to the purchase prices and conditions, this option contains only the necessary product data to be shared via the Excel smart sheet.
- Price message 2: extended version
In addition to the purchase prices and conditions, this option contains extensive product data that must be shared via the Excel smart sheet.
Notes:
- The Excel smart sheet price message is only available in Dutch (GS1 Prijsbericht).
- Agree in advance with your customers (retailers) which version of the price message they want to receive.
